who's making your clothes?

'Slow clothes' handmade with love.

~
Slow clothes, much like slow food, are clothes not made in a factory, not mass produced, but made with care and heart one by one. It's very satisfying to see a garment from beginning to end, something that those working in factories don't get to enjoy, as typically workers sew the same section over and over again. We touch and experience the product throughout its entire journey: from a sketch on paper, to fabric on a roll, to cutting followed by screen printing and finally sewing, to packaging your treasure in recycled paper and biodegradable twine and sending it on its merry way to your door.

THE HANDMADE PROCESS:

1. Production starts with Nadya cutting the styles. She sends the pieces that need to be printed before being sewn to Hayley, and begins sewing those that don't have a print or can be printed later.

2. Hayley receives the cut pieces and hand prints her designs on them. She sends them back to Nadya.

3. Nadya continues sewing and when the batch is done she sends all the pretties to Hayley to be dyed and/or printed.

4. Hayley dyes, prints, and finally packages all orders and sends them to you!
